March 26th 2008 - AGM news
At the AGM of the 25th it was agreed that the membership fees for 2008/09 would be set at £75 for a senior member and remain at £25 for a junior.
March 25th 2008 - Field Entrance
As of 26th March work should commence on the repair of the field entrance and the regrading of the track down to the field.
February 12th 2008 - Field Entrance and the sheep!
Please note that the field entrance is temporarily out of use due to being churned up during the bad weather. Please park on the lane and walk in. The entrance will be sorted as soon as possible (when the weather improves!). You may also find sheep roaming on the field, please do not be too concerned as they will move away when you start your engines. The owner is aware of the situation and understands that we may have to do some herding. Remember they are also good for the grass as they cut it whilst we can't!
December 31st 2008 - BMFA
Don't forget your BMFA Insurance renewal !
October 15th 2007 - We have moved the container (sorry! I meant Club House!)
The club house was moved over the weekend to a position (temporary) on the new field. As well as bringing everything a bit closer, it allowed us to review the contents and start a bonfire!
October 12th 2007 - 10% Discount for club members on Electric Flight items
Dear Model Club Member,
We're an online shop dedicated to providing quality indoor flying
helicopters, with a large range from 2CH toys and 4CH easy-to-fly
helicopters up to 6CH variable pitch, fully 3D capable machines, many
spares and we stock a complete range of Electrolite batteries.
With winter coming you may not be able to get as many days flying at the
local site as you'd like - so here at RTF Electric we're offering a 10%
discount off our already low prices to all members of the model club. We
understand you probably mainly fly model aeroplanes, and many of your
members hadn’t thought of an indoor helicopter, however our selection of
easy-to-fly beginners models will soon have you flying in all weathers
(indoors!).
We offer next day delivery as standard. The 10% model club discount is
for the lifetime of the member account, so all members can benefit from
it repeatedly if they wish. Our before & after sales service is second
to none, supported by a no quibble 7 day return policy for peace of
mind. Our website address is www.rtfelectric.co.uk
<http://www.rtfelectric.co.uk/> - pay us a visit!
Many thanks,
Edward Tyson
May 29th 2007 - Proposal for frequency split between Heli field and FW field as follows :- FW - 55 to 74 : Heli - 76 to 90 . Frequency 75 will be used as a buffer. The new field has now been flown on by your commitee.
May 25th 2007 - The new Fixed-wing field is ready, a bit bumpy but flyable. Watch this space for notes on Frequency splits.
April 18th 2007 - The new fixed-wing field is coming on well and should be ready in a couple of weeks (assuming it rains at least once so that we can get the roller on!)
